Soludo Says Monday Sit-at-Home Has Ended as Onitsha Records Heavy Traffic

Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo says the Monday sit-at-home in the South-East is no longer effective, citing heavy traffic and normal business activity in Onitsha on Monday, August 3. Soludo said he arrived 15 minutes late to an event after being caught in traffic in Onitsha. According to him, the congestion showed that residents had resumed their usual Monday activities. The Monday sit-at-home was introduced by the Indigenous People of Biafra as part of its demand for Biafra and the release of Nnamdi Kanu. The order had previously disrupted commercial and economic activities across parts of the region.
