Adeleke Condemns Esa-Oke Killing, Calls for Peaceful Osun Election

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has condemned the killing of a resident in Esa-Oke, Obokun Local Government Area, and the destruction of property amid rising tension ahead of the election. Another victim reportedly sustained gunshot injuries and is receiving treatment. The governor directed security agencies to increase surveillance in the area, investigate the violence and arrest those responsible. He warned political leaders and supporters against statements or actions that could provoke further attacks. Adeleke also expressed concern over allegations that Accord Party members were killed, arrested and had their homes vandalised in Ikire. He urged all political actors to pursue their ambitions through peaceful voting and allow residents to cast their ballots freely.
