Operation Hadin Kai Arrests Suspected ISWAP Spy in Borno

Troops from Operation Hadin Kai have arrested a suspected ISWAP spy in Borno State. The arrest followed actionable intelligence from a Boko Haram/ISWAP suspect detained in Baga. Soldiers of the 19 Brigade apprehended Sheriff Modu at around 1:30 p.m. on July 20. He is currently undergoing interrogation by the 19 Military Intelligence Regiment at Cross Kauwa. Military sources say investigations are ongoing to identify other members of the support network. This effort aims to dismantle extremist intelligence cells operating in the Lake Chad region.
