Edo Govt Appeals for Help to Locate Family of 12-Year-Old Girl Abducted in Lagos
Amarachi Amos, a 12-year-old from Jakande Estate in Lagos, was abducted by three unidentified men on July 17 while running an errand for her mother. She was forced into their vehicle and driven to Edo State. Members of a local vigilante group found her at Okhuaihe Community along the Benin–Agbor Road in Edo and handed her to the police. She has since been placed under the care of the Edo State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development. Amarachi, who recently completed her Primary Six exams, cannot recall any family phone numbers. The ministry is appealing to anyone in Jakande Estate or elsewhere in Lagos who recognizes Amarachi or knows her relatives to contact the ministry or the Edo State Police Command. Your information could reunite this child with her loved ones quickly.
