Rethinking the Rapture: Why Jesus’ Return Might Never Happen

I’m tired of hearing about the last trumpet and the promise of a sudden rapture. Deep down, we all know those chariot rides and skyward floats are just wishful thinking. We’re busy planning careers, families, and futures here on Earth. If we truly expected Jesus to return at any moment, would we really invest in unborn children or let pastors build empires for generations? Let’s stop deceiving ourselves. When we pray “if Jesus tarries,” we’re admitting he may never come back.
