Scores Feared Abducted After Boko Haram Storms Borno School

An unknown number of students at Mussa Primary and Junior Secondary School in Askira-Uba LGA, Borno State, are feared abducted after armed Boko Haram/ISWAP fighters invaded the premises before dawn on Friday. Mussa village borders the Sambisa Forest, a known terrorist hideout. Witnesses say the insurgents arrived on motorcycles about 10 minutes after troops left the community. The Deputy Speaker of the Borno State Assembly confirmed the attack and said many pupils fled into the bush. He promised updates as security agencies investigate. Efforts to reach the police spokesperson for comment were unsuccessful at press time.
