CAN Calls on Nigerians to Stand Firm and Pray Amid Security Challenges
The Christian Association of Nigeria has urged citizens to stay resilient and refuse to surrender to fear as the country faces ongoing threats of terrorism, banditry, and kidnapping. In marking “Black Sunday” to honour victims of violence, Archbishop Daniel Okoh appealed for continuous prayer for national healing and practical support for affected families and communities. He commended the passage of the Community and State Policing bill and called on government at all levels to take immediate, sustained measures to secure lives and property. Churches and mission institutions were also urged to collaborate with local security networks to safeguard their environments.
