INEC Refutes Atiku’s Claims, Denies Granting Gombe Portal Access
The Independent National Electoral Commission has dismissed allegations that it granted access codes to a rival ADC faction led by Nafiu Gombe. A senior INEC official said the commission only recognises the David Mark-led leadership of the African Democratic Congress. He denied any unauthorised portal access by Gombe or his associates. INEC also rejected claims that its chairman was fuelling internal party disputes to favour President Tinubu. The official insisted the commission acts strictly within the Constitution and the Electoral Act. The ADC spokesperson reaffirmed that only the Mark-Aregbesola leadership is valid. The party urged INEC to investigate alleged forgeries as political alignments gather momentum ahead of the 2027 election.
