Troops Arrest Fulani Youth Leader Over Alleged Role in Deadly Southern Kaduna Attack
Troops of Sector 7, Operation Enduring Peace, have arrested a Fulani youth leader over an alleged connection to the recent attack on Naridon community in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The attack, which occurred near the Kaduna–Plateau border, reportedly claimed 30 lives, including eight children. The suspect, Zakari Yahu Adamu, was arrested in Fadan Chanwe, Kauru LGA, on August 6, 2026, following intelligence-led investigations. He remains in custody as security operatives investigate his alleged role and seek to identify other people connected to the attack. Authorities say the operation is part of ongoing efforts to tackle violent attacks in affected Kaduna communities.
