Naomi Osaka Dazzles Wimbledon with Heritage-Inspired Couture
Four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka turned London’s historic grass courts into her personal runway at Wimbledon 2026. Collaborating with Tokyo-based designer Hana Yagi, she unveiled two heritage-packed ensembles. Her opening look, “Evolving Ceremony,” was crafted from seven upcycled textiles and featured pearl-white embroidery of cranes and cherry blossoms. She completed the outfit with a traditional kanzashi hairpin and pearl jewelry from Mikimoto. Although some critics question whether elaborate fashion belongs on court, Osaka maintains that these designs are an essential form of self-expression.
