Swift Arrest: FCT Police Recover Stolen Toyota Hilux in Kaduna

Swift Arrest: FCT Police Recover Stolen Toyota Hilux in Kaduna

The Federal Capital Territory Police command has arrested a car theft suspect and recovered a stolen Toyota Hilux. On June 20 at about 1:45 pm, the DPO of Maitama Division received a distress call reporting the theft of a white 2014 Toyota Hilux. The vehicle was parked in Wuse II and found missing just four minutes later. Police alerts were sent to all exit routes in the FCT, and digital tracking technology traced the truck to Kubacha in Kaduna State. Officers recovered the vehicle at around 3:30 pm the same day. The suspect and the recovered Hilux are in police custody. Investigations continue to identify any accomplices and determine the full circumstances.

Interesting that the police recovered a twelve-year-old Hilux in Kaduna, but the report omits how the thief managed to evade patrol squads.
