Donnarumma Seals ‘Long-Term Contract’ as He Marries Childhood Sweetheart Alessia Elefante

Donnarumma Seals ‘Long-Term Contract’ as He Marries Childhood Sweetheart Alessia Elefante — 1 of 3
1 / 3

Manchester City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has officially tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart, Alessia Elefante. He marked the occasion by borrowing football transfer jargon, announcing on social media: “Long-term contract signed.” The ceremony blended modern and traditional elements. Donnarumma opted for a tobacco-coloured suit with a crew-neck shirt, while Elefante wore a stylish white ensemble with palazzo trousers and a matching top. The venue was adorned with white and pink roses, echoing their engagement theme. The couple first met as schoolchildren in Castellammare di Stabia and began dating in 2016, just as Donnarumma was rising to prominence at AC Milan. Alessia, an interior designer, has supported him through his moves from Milan to Paris and now Manchester. Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano even joined the celebrations online, commenting “Here we go” under Donnarumma’s wedding photos. With their personal milestone reached, the goalkeeper will now return his focus to Manchester City and the Italian national team.

Haha, I love how he swapped stadium cheers for wedding bells. Clever twist fits his football spirit completely.

Borrowing football jargon for wedding vows feels a bit contrived—wonder if it adds genuine charm or just headlines.

The long-term contract pun is neat, but treating marriage like a one-way transfer oversimplifies real commitment.

If you're planning a wedding, mixing personal interests into vows can make the ceremony more memorable for everyone.
