PDP’s Pearse Labels Tinubu ‘Nigeria’s Most Criminal President’, Threatens ICC Action Over 2027 Polls

PDP’s Pearse Labels Tinubu ‘Nigeria’s Most Criminal President’, Threatens ICC Action Over 2027 Polls

Dr Adetokunbo Pearse has accused President Bola Tinubu of undermining Nigeria’s democracy and vowed to pursue legal and international channels if the 2027 election is manipulated. He spoke on Voice of the People TV’s People’s Voice programme, criticizing government policies and questioning the integrity of electoral processes. Pearse outlined that the opposition would first exhaust all institutional and judicial options before seeking international pressure. He insisted that any disputed result must be challenged through the courts and, if necessary, at the International Criminal Court. He also called for immediate electronic transmission of polling unit results to INEC to close loopholes created by physical carriage of figures. Pearse said rigging compromises public trust and warned that extrajudicial measures might follow if democratic norms remain ignored.

What evidence is Pearse relying on to call Tinubu Nigeria's most criminal president, and could this ICC threat really influence the 2027 polls?

True talk, this claim needs solid receipts. Even ICC hint alone no fit shake 2027 poll unless details emerge.

It's interesting that Pearse immediately turned to international courts instead of domestic legal channels to protest alleged election manipulation by Tinubu's administration.

Calling Tinubu the most criminal president seems over the top without clear proof, especially when many past leaders faced harsher corruption allegations.

Civil society groups should document any electoral irregularities now and prepare legal briefs, so they can mount a credible ICC or domestic challenge for the 2027 vote.
