Nigerian Prison Officer’s Green Card Revoked Amid Sodomy and Drug Charges
Breaking: The U.S. State Department has revoked the green card of Nigerian prison officer Soyemi Adesola Olaniyi. He was arrested for engaging in sodomy with male inmates and now faces up to 30 years or life behind bars. Olaniyi also faces charges of sexual misconduct, official misconduct and marijuana possession. He has been transferred to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody. He is accused of violating federal laws on sexual assault (18 U.S.C. §§2241/2242), contraband smuggling and drug trafficking. After serving his sentence, he is expected to be deported as a threat to national security. The Indiana Department of Corrections is probing the full extent of his alleged actions.
