Iranian Strike on Jordan Base Kills Two US Soldiers

In a separate incident, another service member died during a controlled detonation of a downed Iranian drone, and unidentified remains were recovered on base. These two deaths mark the first US fatalities from Iranian attacks since March. A dignified transfer ceremony for four service members is set for Wednesday, bringing the total US military death toll in this conflict to 17. Despite the escalation, diplomatic channels remain open. US and Iranian officials have expressed a willingness to engage in talks to de-escalate the situation.
