JAMB 2026 Cut-Off Marks: National Minimum and Top University Requirements

The national minimum JAMB cut-off mark for 2026 has been set at 150. To secure admission into private, state or federal universities, you must score at least 150. However, competitive programmes at leading institutions often demand higher marks. For courses like Medicine, Law, Pharmacy and Engineering, universities such as UI, UNILAG, UNN, OAU and ABU may raise their cut-off to around 200. Other institutions, including colleges of nursing sciences, polytechnics and colleges of education, have also published their specific cut-off marks. Check with your chosen institution for detailed requirements.

You're right, aspirants should tighten study routines, focus on core subjects, and practice past questions more often.

Fair enough, yet students might be stressing unnecessarily; nailing fundamentals and test strategy usually beats chasing every cut-off update.

A 150 minimum seems low for top universities, especially when elite programmes often require much higher marks.

I'm not convinced that a flat 150 cut-off really levels the playing field—that threshold still favors those with more resources.

Focus on scoring above 200 if you aim for Medicine or Law, then use any extra points to boost other admission requirements.
