Ondo Amotekun Corps Frees Eight Kidnap Victims After Gun Battle
Operatives of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, known as the Amotekun Corps, freed eight kidnapped residents following a fierce exchange of gunfire with their abductors. State Commander Akogun Adetunji Adeleye told journalists that all the victims were rescued without any ransom payment. He said the kidnappers had demanded N30 million after abducting people from Ilado community in Akure North LGA. Amotekun officers engaged the criminals in a swift operation that secured the victims’ release. Among those freed was Fagbonmire Durojaiye, a pastor and teacher with the Redeemed Christian Church of God. The commander affirmed that no family paid a dime in ransom and commended his team for the successful mission.
