Security Forces Apprehend Bandit Leader’s Deputy and Wife in Gombe State
Security operatives have arrested Bala (aka 'Pakapaka'), the deputy to bandit kingpin Kachalla Auta, and his wife in Gombe State. The duo were tracked from Dajin Madam Forest in Plateau State after fleeing the area. Intelligence sources say the operation was based on sustained surveillance and coordinated ground tracking. The suspects are now in custody and face interrogation to determine their roles in the criminal network and links to other cells in the region. Troops also conducted patrols around Bayar village on the Duguri axis. Although they did not make contact with the main kingpin, forces continue to dominate the area to deny bandits freedom of movement. Security officials say these efforts aim to disrupt criminal networks across Plateau, Taraba and neighboring states.
