UNIPORT Biweekly Roundup: March 9–20, 2026 Highlights

UNIPORT Biweekly Roundup: March 9–20, 2026 Highlights

We marked two weeks of vibrant activity at UNIPORT from March 9 to 20, 2026. We began with the oath-taking of newly qualified medical doctors, pharmacists, and nurses. We also oversaw Part I and II MBBS resit exams in Pharmacology, Anatomy, Physiology, Medical Biochemistry, and Pathology. We strengthened academic ties with a visit from Dr. Vaclav Gvozdik of the Czech Republic and hosted the 208th Inaugural Lecture on sustainable technologies by Prof. Tobinson Alasin Briggs. We welcomed a TETFund assessment team and received Amb. Jay Xu and Dr. Andres for strategic research collaborations. We were honoured with awards of appreciation from the Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences, a Legacy Award in Educational Psychology, a Distinguished Service Award for SDGs work, and a Gender Champion Award during our International Women’s Day lecture. We celebrated the opening of “The Crab” Arts Theatre with a captivating student performance and held a digital privacy campaign with the national data protection commission. We capped the period with the UNIPORT Champions & Conference football final and observed the Sallah break in prayer for peace and unity.
