Ondo Police Arrest Five Kidnap Suspects, Rescue Two Boys and Recover N251,000

Officers in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area arrested five suspects after two boys, aged five and ten, were abducted on their way to school. The victims’ father reported the kidnapping on May 12, prompting an intelligence-led operation. Detectives first apprehended Taofeek Lukman (23) and Blessing Saturday (27) in Alaba area. Investigators recovered N251,000 believed to be ransom proceeds and traced a motorcycle used in the crime to a second hideout. Further inquiries led to the arrest of additional members of the syndicate. Police continue efforts to apprehend other fugitives and recover more evidence. The suspects have confessed and will face court charges when investigations conclude. The Commissioner of Police commended the team’s professionalism and reaffirmed the command’s commitment to combating crime.
