Delta Police Arrest Two on Agbarho–Warri Road, Recover Guns and Suspected Cocaine

The Delta State Police Command says it arrested two suspects during a stop-and-search operation on the Agbarho–Warri Road on 25 July 2026. Police said the men, both Port Harcourt residents, were travelling in a grey Mercedes-Benz SUV when operatives of the Safer Highway Patrol intercepted them. A third occupant reportedly fled into a nearby swamp during preliminary questioning. Officers allegedly recovered two locally made pistols, nine rounds of ammunition, about 200 grams of suspected cocaine, a walkie-talkie, a dagger, a grinder and two mobile phones. The two suspects are in custody, while police say efforts are ongoing to locate the fleeing occupant.
