FOSAD 2026 Conference Unveils Development Blueprint for South-East

FOSAD 2026 Conference Unveils Development Blueprint for South-East

On 2–3 July 2026, the Forum of South-East Academic Doctors brought together academics, researchers and policymakers to chart a path for sustainable growth in the region. Delegates examined challenges in education, agriculture, health and technology and adopted a 10-point communiqué with practical policy recommendations. The keynote address highlighted human capital as Nigeria’s greatest asset and called for quality assurance in universities, anti-corruption measures and curriculum reforms to drive innovation. FOSAD leaders urged collaboration among academics, government and the private sector to implement regional projects, including research centres, vocational training, a deep seaport and upgraded healthcare and agro-processing infrastructure.
