Angry Mob Burns Four Suspects Over Plateau Traditional Ruler’s Killing
An angry mob in Langtang North LGA of Plateau State set four men ablaze on Friday night. They were accused of murdering Ponzhi Kwallak, the traditional ruler of Kwallak community, and allegedly confessed to the crime. Witnesses say the assailants stormed the ruler’s home on Thursday night, killed him and stole his motorcycle, phone and other valuables. The suspects were paraded before a crowd and then burned alive. Local residents are demanding stronger security and a thorough investigation. Plateau State police have promised to probe the incident and bring any remaining perpetrators to justice.
