Rangers Target Super Eagles Full-Back Ryan Alebiosu to Replace Tavernier

Rangers are preparing for James Tavernier’s departure by targeting Nigeria international Ryan Alebiosu as their new right-back. The 24-year-old is highly regarded for his pace and athleticism. Alebiosu is already familiar with Scottish football after successful loan spells at Kilmarnock and St Mirren, where he earned widespread praise for his performances. He has also impressed in his debut season at Blackburn Rovers, contributing one goal and five assists in 40 Championship appearances. His form led to a call-up for Nigeria’s squad at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Rangers should integrate Alebiosu gradually, pairing him with an experienced right wing partner to ease his transition.
