Tinubu Appoints Ayo Fayose as REA Chairman, Names 25 Others to Federal Boards
President Bola Tinubu has approved 26 appointments to various federal boards and commissions. Ayo Fayose will chair the Rural Electrification Agency board. He joins other members including Alhaji Ahmadu Abubakar and Engr. Ilyasu Ibrahim Makinta alongside existing REA executives. Retired Maj. Gen. Junaid Bindawa was named Chairman of the National Salary and Wages Commission, with former Lagos lawmaker Olajumoke Okoya-Thomas as secretary. Eight commissioners now represent states such as Benue, Oyo, Kaduna, Borno, Enugu, Edo and Kogi. Tosin Johnson Adeyanju moves from the National Lottery Trust Fund to serve as Secretary of the Revenue Mobilisation and Fiscal Commission. Dr. Abuh Mohammed becomes Director-General of the National Population Commission, while Dr. Akinola Odeyemi leads the Bulk Electricity Trading company. Other key appointments cover the Atomic Energy Commission, agricultural mechanisation centre, Fiscal Responsibility Commission, mass literacy body and the Federal Housing Authority.
