NDLEA Seizes 4.17 Tonnes of Canadian Loud Valued at ₦10.4bn at Lagos Port
The NDLEA has intercepted a 4,173.5kg consignment of Canadian Loud worth over ₦10.4bn at Tincan Island Port in Lagos. Officials say the shipment was tracked from Toronto through Montreal and Morocco before arriving in Lagos. Operatives discovered the synthetic cannabis hidden inside a used Ford bus and a Mercedes-Benz C300 container on May 12. The operation followed months of intelligence gathering and involved the Marine Intelligence Unit alongside the Nigeria Customs Service. The seizure came days after a raid on a Lekki mansion recovered another 2.3 tonnes of Canadian Loud valued at ₦5.8bn. NDLEA’s leadership praised the inter-agency and international collaboration that led to these major busts.
