FG Confirms Jilli Axis as Major Terrorist Corridor After Precision Airstrike
The Federal Government says the Nigerian Air Force carried out a precision strike on confirmed terrorist targets in the Jilli axis of Gubio LGA, Borno State on April 11 under Operation HADIN KAI. The area, long known as an insurgent stronghold, was designated a high-risk zone with advisories against civilian presence. The Minister of Information extended condolences to affected families and stressed that every Nigerian life is sacred. He confirmed that the strike followed weeks of intelligence-led surveillance and was aimed at disrupting Boko Haram and ISWAP supply lines in what is locally called “Kasu Daulaye”. An independent investigation has been ordered to review targeting procedures and ensure accountability. The government urged civilians to heed security advisories and called on the media to report responsibly to support national efforts against terrorism.
