Court Remands Social Critic “Justice Crack” to SSS Custody Over Cybercrime and Alleged Incitement
A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered social commentator Justice Chidebere, known as “Justice Crack,” into the custody of the State Security Services. He is charged on three counts: alleged cybercrime, breach of public peace and felony. He pleaded not guilty to all charges when he was arraigned. The SSS counsel asked for his remand in the interest of public security. The defence confirmed plans to file a bail application later in the week. A statement from the military says his social media post highlighting soldiers’ welfare issues went beyond concern for feeding. The Army alleges he encouraged discontent within the ranks.
