Security stakeholders in Lagos have called for stronger intelligence sharing, ethical conduct and closer cooperation among security agencies to improve operations across the state. The call was made at the Lagos State Security Trust Fund’s inter-agency training for security operatives. Senior police officers said criminals increasingly exploit technology, institutional gaps and jurisdictional boundaries, making continuous training and coordinated operations essential. The programme also introduced free medical checks for participants, including blood pressure and blood sugar tests. Health experts urged officers to manage stress, eat healthier meals, exercise, sleep adequately and monitor their vital signs regularly. Organisers said the training, which began in March and is expected to continue until December, will focus on improving capacity, public trust and collaboration among security institutions.
