VDM’s NGO Account: ₦691M In, Less Than ₦20M Left – What Happened?

A screenshot of VeryDarkMan’s NGO bank statement has ignited fresh debate online. It shows ₦691,609,964.78 credited, ₦671,770,394.14 spent and just ₦19,939,570.64 remaining. The figures surprised many users. They have raised questions about how the funds were used and called for a clear breakdown of expenses. This news comes after music executive Don Jazzy donated ₦100 million to the NGO in 2024. VeryDarkMan initially urged Zenith Bank to verify the payment, fearing foul play, but later confirmed the gift was genuine. Aside from these funding concerns, VeryDarkMan remains active in advocacy. He recently led a protest in Ibadan calling for stronger government action after the Orire school kidnappings.

Can someone clarify how the bulk of the ₦691M was allocated across projects?

The statement shows over ₦691 million credited but nearly all spent. The balance seems surprisingly low for such large totals.

Is it possible those figures include multi-year allocations, so the leftover reflects commitments, not mismanagement?

It feels premature to accuse mismanagement when the funds could be allocated to less visible but essential operations.

Fund transparency could improve if the NGO publishes quarterly line-item reports, offering clarity on every allocation and expense.
