Ryan Alebiosu’s Fourth Assist Sees Blackburn Hold Stoke to 1-1 Draw

Ryan Alebiosu’s Fourth Assist Sees Blackburn Hold Stoke to 1-1 Draw

Blackburn Rovers extended their unbeaten run to five games with a 1-1 draw at Stoke City, moving four points clear of the Championship relegation zone. Ryan Alebiosu provided his fourth league assist of the season when he set up Adam Forshaw’s opener in the first half. Jesurun Rak-Sakyi drew Stoke level early in the second half with a close-range finish. The Potters pushed for a winner, but a late red card for Ashley Phillips after a second yellow couldn’t change the result. Both sides remain four games from season’s end.

Even with Forshaw's early goal, Blackburn conceded again, keeping that defence looking uncertain despite the five-game unbeaten stretch.

A draw may pad the unbeaten run, but I'd argue Blackburn should have pushed harder for a win instead of settling.

Focusing on tightening the back line and improving transitions could help Blackburn turn draws into vital wins in their survival push.
