A seven-day scouting programme for 18–23-year-old footballers is underway at Awka City Stadium. The event, organised by the Anambra State Football Association in partnership with Dynamic Sports Academy, runs from 13th to 19th May. Twelve state clubs, including Dynamic Sports Academy A & B, Edel FC and Maureen Mmadu FC, are showcasing talent. Brazilian and Portuguese chief scouts Bernardo Da Silva and Pedro Batista will evaluate players for opportunities abroad. Sponsor Nze Chukwunenye Okoli announced the trials will become an annual fixture. He urged participants to stay focused and praised the scouts’ expertise, saying the initiative could launch Anambra players onto global stages. Coach Donatus Ezeokafor of Dynamic Sports Academy thanked Okoli for his support and expects around 20 players to be discovered. The week culminates in final selections and a closing ceremony on Tuesday.
