Lanre Adediwura Explains Why He Rejected Wura Return Over Poor Pay
Lanre Adediwura says he turned down an offer to rejoin the TV series Wura because the pay didn’t add up. He revealed that he spent 11 months on the show but earned less than he invested. Production rules also barred him from taking other roles, leaving him without steady income for six months after exiting. During that break, he relied on YouTube projects and worked on translating House of Gaa into Yoruba. He also auditioned for a historical role as Alaafin Abiodun. Lanre says he contributed ideas still used on Wura and doesn’t expect any legal fallout over his comments.
