Tennessee Father Arrested After Biting Infant Son Amid Delusions

Memphis police arrested 34-year-old Jerry Stark after he bit his infant son’s cheek during a panic episode. Officers were called to a restaurant around 1 a.m. and found Stark screaming that his family was trying to kill him. Restaurant staff said Stark had lain down on the kitchen floor with the baby, repeating that he needed help. Earlier, witnesses at a Shell station had tried to assist when they saw the child turning blue as Stark squeezed him. When bystanders attempted to pull the infant away, Stark panicked and bit the child on the right cheek. The baby was taken to hospital in non-critical condition. Stark is in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on May 4, 2026.
