Free Ibadan Workshop to Guide Writers on ISBN and Legal Deposit
The Ibadan Book Club will hold a free workshop on ISBN and Legal Deposit for writers, publishers and other creative professionals on Saturday, 25 July 2026, at 12:00 p.m. The session will take place at the Oyo State Library Board, opposite Group Medical, Ibadan. A National Library of Nigeria official will lead discussions on obtaining ISBNs in Nigeria, ISBN requirements for print, e-books and audiobooks, and the differences between ISBN, copyright and Legal Deposit. Participants will also learn about Legal Deposit requirements, publishing compliance and the National Library’s role in preserving Nigeria’s intellectual heritage. Registration is free, and attendees are expected to provide their name, gender and phone number to reserve a place.
