A Northern Islamic cleric has appeared in a viral video offering ₦1 million to anyone who brings him the head of a Christian preacher. He was shown holding bundles of cash and urging people to carry out the gruesome act. The cleric vowed to increase the reward if N1 million was not enough. The footage also captures a woman criticising security agencies for failing to act, particularly the Department of State Services. She warned that such hate speech could spark reprisals and deepen religious divides. As of now, there is no official response from the DSS or other authorities.
