Three Nigeria Flying Eagles players—Muiz Adeleke, Oraro Lucky and Odinaka Alfred—were named in the WAFU B U-20 Team of the Tournament in Côte d’Ivoire. Adeleke finished as the competition’s top scorer with five goals. Alfred was selected in defence, while Lucky made the midfield positions in the tournament’s 4-4-2 Best XI. Burkina Faso had five players in the team after beating Nigeria 4-1 in the final to win the title and secure the region’s sole place at the 2026 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Ghana. Côte d’Ivoire had two representatives and Niger had one.
