Troops of Sector 1 of Operation Enduring Peace have arrested three suspected kidnappers during a raid on a hideout in Mista-Ali, Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State. The operation was carried out around 5:30 p.m. on August 14 after intelligence reports identified the location. Umar Aliyu, Abdulrahman Adam and Bello Isa were arrested, while two other suspects reportedly escaped. A fleeing suspect allegedly stabbed Corporal Muhammad Adam with a knife during the raid. The soldier was taken to General Hospital, Mista-Ali, for treatment. Troops searched the suspects’ homes but said no incriminating items were recovered. The suspects remain in military custody as investigations continue.
