Nigeria’s Friday Adams Seals Switch to Universitatea Cluj

Nigeria’s Friday Adams Seals Switch to Universitatea Cluj

Universitatea Cluj have completed the signing of Nigerian winger Friday Adams, according to local reports. The 23-year-old began his career at Ikon Allah Kaduna academy before joining Russia’s FDC Vista youth setup. His first senior breakthrough came at Armenian side FC Noah, where he made 35 appearances, scored two goals and provided one assist. In 2023 Adams moved to Romanian Superliga club FC Botoșani and adapted swiftly to the top flight. He featured in over 80 matches across all competitions and impressed with his energy and tactical awareness. Known for his versatility, Adams can operate as a right-back or in midfield. He is expected to add pace and creative thrust to Universitatea Cluj’s flanks next season.

Cluj should integrate Adams gradually, giving him minutes as a substitute before trusting him as a regular starter.
