I was browsing Facebook Marketplace when I spotted an ad from my neighbour who bought a generator last year for ₦450,000 and was now selling it for ₦250,000. Using a friend’s account, I negotiated the price down to ₦200,000. We met at a junction, my friend paid him, and I picked it up later that night. The next morning, he came to charge his phone in my flat.
