Cross River Police Rescue Woman Abducted and Held Captive by Boyfriend

The Cross River State Police Command arrested 27-year-old Desire Deseye after his girlfriend, 25-year-old Livina, was reported missing. Her sister alerted police when she failed to return home and sent a photo showing bruises all over her body. According to a police statement, Livina was assaulted, had her phone seized and was locked in her boyfriend’s room on April 11. Officers traced the address and rescued her the next day. The victim has been taken to a medical facility for treatment while the suspect remains in custody. An investigation is ongoing. The command reminded residents to report criminal activity promptly to their nearest station.
