Why Believers Should Embrace a Cooperative Spirit

A cooperative spirit grows when we understand that helping others can also contribute to our own progress. Paul addressed divisions among Christians in Corinth who were taking sides between him and Apollos. He reminded them that both were servants doing different parts of God’s work: one planted, another watered, but God gave the increase. Rather than competing or speaking badly about other ministries, believers are encouraged to support one another. The message is simple: work together, stay humble, and focus on the shared purpose.
