Nollywood Actress Ruth Eze Cheats Death After Bedroom Ceiling Collapse

Nollywood Actress Ruth Eze Cheats Death After Bedroom Ceiling Collapse — 1 of 3
1 / 3

Nollywood star Ruth Eze is counting her blessings after her bedroom POP ceiling suddenly crashed around her. She shared video footage on Instagram, praising God for sparing her life and writing, “God took me out so that this will not end my life. Praise this great God for me.” This unsettling incident follows a similar POP collapse in her home two years ago. Ruth’s experience is not unique. Late last year, BBNaija’s Mercy Atang escaped a falling POP in her living room. Actress Nkechi Blessing and Bolaji Ogunmola each survived separate POP collapses, while Chichi and skitmaker Zics Aloma also narrowly avoided harm when their ceilings gave way. In 2022, veteran actor Charles Inojie shared how a falling tank missed him by inches at his favourite sitting spot. These close calls highlight ongoing concerns about POP ceiling safety in many homes.

Is Ruth Eze's ceiling collapse a warning sign for regular home safety checks? How can others avoid similar accidents?

You're spot on! Regular ceiling and roof checks fit catch wahala early, so make we no joke with home safety.

What warning signs in a ceiling should we watch for before things get risky?

I'm skeptical that hidden flaws are caught in routine building checks, since POP ceilings can fail without any visible warning signs.

I respect her gratitude, but talking only about divine intervention sidesteps the real issue of building safety standards and contractor responsibility.

Homeowners should schedule professional inspections for their POP ceilings at least every two years and address any small cracks immediately.
