Why Jesus Christ Is Fully God in the Flesh
Few topics are as central to Christianity as the identity of Jesus Christ. Scripture teaches that if He were merely a prophet or a created being, He could not truly redeem humanity. Yet the Bible consistently reveals that God Himself took on human form. Scripture never portrays Jesus as a second god beside the Father or simply a divine messenger. Instead, the invisible God became flesh to accomplish redemption. As Paul declares in 1 Timothy 3:16, “God was manifest in the flesh.” Jesus’s own words reinforced this truth. In John 14:9, He told Philip, “He that has seen me has seen the Father,” making it clear that He was not pointing to another being but revealing the Father dwelling in Him.
