1 / 4

Nigerian superstar Davido made history as the only Nigerian act on the Coachella 2026 lineup. He opened weekend one with electrifying performances of “If,” “Skelewu” and “Dami Duro,” thrilling fans from around the world. After his set, Davido took to social media to share clips and thanked everyone for their support. He wrote, “We brought culture to the forefront. Thank you for rocking with us. See you next week at Week 2.” His appearance at the famed California festival highlights the growing global influence of Afrobeats. Davido joins headline acts like Justin Bieber, Karol G and Sabrina Carpenter across two weekends in Indio. Back home, his partner marked the milestone with celebratory emojis, while his manager reflected on Davido’s rise from school dropout to international icon. Last year, he also topped the Billboard Honor Roll, becoming the only Nigerian on that list.

Honestly, Davido's sounds alone won't redefine how the world sees Naija culture. It's combo of fashion, choreography, even other artists that matter.
