Living as a New Creation: Embracing the Divine Life in Christ

God has granted us eternal life in His Son (1 John 5:11). When we are in Christ, we become a new creation—old things pass away and all things become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). This resurrection life calls us to walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4). This divine life sets us apart. It is the very life of God, made manifest to us (1 John 1:2). As children of the Most High, we share in His nature and live as gods in this world (Psalms 82:6; 1 John 4:17). Being born again is not merely joining a church. It is receiving the life and nature of God. This new order of existence means Christ lives in us, and we live by faith in the Son of God (Galatians 2:20). Dear Father, thank you for Your divine life in me. I walk in righteousness and live by Your Spirit. I express Your nature and reveal Christ to my world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Claims about old things passing away and all things becoming new sound inspiring, but real transformation often feels slower and messier.

I'm not convinced eternal life simply guarantees daily victory; baptism into resurrection doesn't erase struggles with temptation overnight.

Focusing on small devotional habits like morning prayer and scripture reflection can help us live out that new creation identity each day.
