1 / 3

The Rivers State Police Command has arrested a suspected armed robber, Austine Emenike, popularly known as “Oyibo,” in an intelligence-led operation. Officers recovered one locally made pistol, four single-barrel guns and five live cartridges. Preliminary investigations link Oyibo to a broader criminal network. Detectives are following up on leads to identify and arrest other gang members and expose the full scope of their activities. The Commissioner of Police for Rivers State, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, commended the operatives for their courage and professionalism. He urged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious movements or persons to help secure the state.

It's odd that they found multiple weapons yet we hear so little about follow-up prosecutions in these cases.
