Tinubu to Lose 2027 If Atiku Joins Obi or Amaechi, Dele Momodu Predicts

Former presidential candidate Dele Momodu told Channels TV on March 15 that President Tinubu would be defeated in 2027 if Atiku Abubakar partners with a southern figure. “I believe if we have a combination of Atiku with Peter Obi, Rotimi Amaechi or any other person from the South, Tinubu will be gone,” he said. Momodu argued that such a North-South coalition ticket would shatter Tinubu’s foundation and weaken the APC’s hold on power. Atiku, Obi and Amaechi have since aligned within the ADC to mount a joint challenge in 2027. The ADC’s ward and state congresses begin on April 7, 2026, ahead of its national convention on April 14, 2026.
