Lawyer Petitions EFCC Over Alleged Fake Cancer Fundraising by Blessing CEO

Lawyer Petitions EFCC Over Alleged Fake Cancer Fundraising by Blessing CEO — 1 of 2
1 / 2

A Lagos-based lawyer has urged the EFCC to investigate relationship coach Blessing CEO for allegedly soliciting donations under false pretences. The lawyer, whose daughter survived cancer, spoke with TVC News about her personal ordeal and why she takes false cancer claims seriously. She asked the EFCC’s Lagos Directorate to determine whether Blessing actually needs financial help and to hold her accountable if the fundraising was fraudulent. The call follows Blessing’s Instagram video in which she claimed to have stage 4 breast cancer but admitted uncertainty about her treatment costs. On Arise TV, a medical doctor exposed Blessing for presenting a forged medical report. The Nigerian Medical Association’s Delta State branch confirmed the document was doctored and demanded action. Since the backlash, Blessing and her partner have both deactivated their Instagram accounts.

Donors should verify fundraising campaigns through official charity channels before contributing, especially when serious illnesses like cancer are mentioned.
