1 / 2

A 32-year-old dispatch rider, Emmanuel Jegede, reportedly died after suspected hoodlums allegedly pushed him from his bike along Ikotun-Idimu Road in Alimosho, Lagos. The incident reportedly happened on Wednesday morning after a minor collision involving the rider and a tricycle operator had been settled. The suspects allegedly demanded money from Jegede for resolving the dispute, but he said he had none and continued with his deliveries. Witnesses said the men later waited for him on the other side of the road and allegedly pushed him while he was riding. He lost control, crashed into a concrete median and became unconscious. The suspects reportedly fled. Police officers from Idimu Division evacuated his body. The Lagos State Police Command said it is investigating the case and seeking CCTV footage from the area.
